| Students’ Perspectives towards Entrepreneurship with Special Reference to Atmanirbhar Bharat | North East India holds strong potential to become a key driver of India’s self-reliance due to its rich natural resources, cultural diversity, and strategic location. The vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, as highlighted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizes five pillars—economy, infrastructure, system, vibrant demography, and demand—to build global competitiveness. The study shows that while students generally have a positive attitude toward entrepreneurship, only a small proportion aim for self-employment, indicating a gap between intent and action. Factors such as government initiatives, business opportunities, leadership, education quality, and ease of doing business shape their outlook. Strengthening education through practical exposure, internships, mentorship, and industry collaboration is essential to nurture entrepreneurial skills. Policy reforms and curriculum upgrades can further bridge this gap.
