The Academic Sub-Committee of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) College, Agartala, is a core functional body operating under the college's Teachers' Council. - Formulation of the Central Class Routine: The committee is responsible for drafting, updating, and implementing the college's Central Class Routine. This involves meticulously allocating time slots and lecture halls for Arts, Science, and Commerce streams, maximizing infrastructure utility while eliminating scheduling conflicts.
- Publication of Academic Calendars: The committee designs and publishes the comprehensive Academic Calendar before the start of each session. It maps out key semester timelines (Odd and Even semesters), tentative examination windows, internal assessment periods, admissions, and college holidays.
- Maintenance of Academic Records: It acts as the central repository for institutional academic tracking, overseeing the systemization of student enrollment records, departmental progression data, and general course structures.
- Coordination of General Academic Activities: The body works hand-in-hand with individual departments to streamline daily class schedules, monitor the implementation of curriculum frameworks (such as NEP guidelines), and resolve student grievances related to academic delivery.
